ABOUT THE COURSE

In this 3 hour class, you will be given five different table-top scenarios, including the injects, and you will learn how to create a situation, scenario, and injects for your audience, your business, your location, and your BCP maturity. You will identify operations, decisions, and policies that impact the ability of a business unit to execute plans.

The exercise helps you address conclusions and discussions which can change, emphasize, and otherwise affect your business continuity/COOP plan. You will conclude with an “after action” report which will lead to effective modifications and improvements to the plans being exercised.

Many years ago, Ted Brown was elected to the BCP Hall of Fame. In 2017, Ted Brown received a BCP Lifetime Achievement Award. In the same year, he was also awarded "Consultant of the Year"! A winner of the BCP Lifetime Achievement Award, Ted Brown, CBCP, President & CEO of KETCHConsulting, is a recognized business continuity industry leader whose tireless efforts have dramatically increased the visibility of Business Continuity Planning nationwide and globally.

As IBM's first business continuity and recovery services' (BCRS) sales executive, Ted led its growth from zero revenue in 1989 to half a billion dollars in 1998. He then went on to become IBM's eastern regional manager for its BCRS division before retiring in 1998 to become a vice president at Strohl Systems, the leading provider of business continuity software.

With 40 years in technology, Ted Brown has contributed 20 years of experience to the business continuity industry. At various times, he has lent his expertise to the sales, consulting, and service delivery aspects of the industry. He has led the development of hundreds of unique BCP plans and actual recoveries. As a Certified Business Continuity Professional, Ted has shared his experience and expertise through published articles and lectures to thousands of business continuity and disaster recovery professionals.
